Raed Ali, M.D. | Orthopaedic Spine Surgery



In his free time, Dr. Ali enjoys sports, including running, soccer, swimming, skiing and snowboarding. He also likes to travel and spend time with his family.

Raed Ali, M.D. is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, who is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Ali is Fellowship Trained in Spine and Scoliosis Surgery. In addition to his work at the Spine and Pain Institute of Orange County, Dr. Ali has privileges at St. Jude Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital. Dr. Ali’s patient care philosophy centers on providing the highest level of care available, utilizing the latest advances in the field of non-surgical as well as surgical treatments for the full spectrum of spinal conditions. He has special interests in minimally invasive and outpatient treatment options for a variety of complex Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar spinal conditions.


Dr. Ali completed his University Studies at UCLA with a BS in Biochemistry. He then attended Medical School at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. After graduating, Dr. Ali attended Yale University School of Medicine for his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency. He went on to complete a fellowship in Spine and Scoliosis surgery at the Cornell University Medical Center/Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. 


Dr. Ali has written multiple research and review articles, which have been published in peer reviewed medical journals. He has presented lectures and research presentations at National and International Medical Centers, Orthopaedic and Spine Conferences, as well as to local physician educated seminars. Additionally, Dr. Ali has been recognized by Orange Coast Magazine as a Physician of Excellence in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.
